SYMPTOMS

When you provide a SqlWhereClause property in the CategoryConfiguration object in Microsoft Commerce Server 2007, the ChildCategories collection for a root category in a virtual catalog is empty. This problem occurs when the root categories are ranked in the base catalog or in the virtual catalog.

RESOLUTION

Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Restart requirement

You do not have to restart your computer after you apply this hotfix. However, you must restart Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) after you apply this hotfix. To do this, cick Start, click Run, type iisreset, and then click OK.

For existing Commerce Server 2007 catalog databases, you must run the 931495.sql file against your existing catalog databases. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Start Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
  2. Select the instance of SQL Server where your catalog database resides, and then click Connect.
  3. Click New Query.
  4. Select your catalog database.
  5. Copy the SQL code from the 931495.sql file to the new query window, and then click Execute.
