SYMPTOMS

You have a Microsoft Office Word document that contains a table. You try to drag the table to another program. For example, you try to drag the table to a Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 presentation. However, the drag-and-drop operation is not successful. The table does not appear in the other program.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if you use the anchor at the upper-left corner of the table when you drag the table from Word 2007 to the other program.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use one of the following procedures:

  • Copy the table cells from Word 2007, and then paste them in the other program.
  • If it is possible, use an element other than the anchor at the upper-left corner of the table to drag the table from Word 2007 to the other program.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
