SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. In Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007, you preview a presentation or play a presentation that contains three-dimensional text. An animation enhancement is applied to the three-dimensional text. In this scenario, the animation may not play smoothly and may appear to drop frames. Additionally, this issue may be more pronounced if the animation enhancement involves motion.

CAUSE

This issue may occur if you click By letter in the Animate text list.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, click one of the following items in the Animate text list:

  • By word
  • All at once

To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Open the slide that contains the animation enhancement.
  2. Click the Animation tab.
  3. In the Animations group, click Custom Animation.
  4. In the Custom Animation task pane, right-click the animation event, and then click Effect Options.
  5. On the Effect tab, click one of the following items in the Animate text list, and then click OK:
    • By word
    • All at once
