SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Commerce Server 2007, you cannot reconfigure a send port for a BizTalk adapter that has the same registry subkey as the original send port. When you try to enter the same registry subkey that was previously used, you receive the following exception message:
CAUSE
This problem occurs because the registry subkey remains when the original send port is removed.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, use Registry Editor to remove the registry subkey manually. To do this, follow these steps.
Warning Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another method. These problems might require that you reinstall the operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that these problems can be solved. Modify the registry at your own risk.
- Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
- Locate following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Commerce Server 2007 BizTalk Adapters\
- Right-click the subkey, and then click Delete.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
