CAUSE

This issue can have one of the following causes.

Cause 1

This issue may occur if the user who is performing the update operation does not have access to the Provider policy. When the SoftGrid Client is updated against the SoftGrid Virtual Application Server (SGVAS), the SGVAS checks the server groups to which the SGVAS has been added. Then, it checks the Provider policies that are assigned to the server groups. If the user is not a member of a group that is listed on the Group Assignments tab of one of the Provider policies, the update operation will fail.

Cause 2

This issue may occur if the following conditions are true:

  • The Provider policy is configured for Anonymous authentication.
  • The Anonymous user who is specified on the Provider Pipeline tab of the Provider policy properties does not have access to the Provider policy.

Cause 3

This issue may occur if the Provider policy is not configured for Authentication. The update operation is not supported if the Provider policy is not configured for Authentication. To determine whether the Provider policy is configured for authentication, click the Provider Pipeline tab of the policy.
