A field may be blank in the User filter or in the Terminal Session filter on a computer that has PolicyMaker Standard Edition or Profile Maker installed

SYMPTOMS

On a computer that has DesktopStandard PolicyMaker Standard Edition or DesktopStandard Profile Maker installed, one of the following fields may be blank when you open the filter view:

  • The User display name field for the User filter
  • The Parameter Value field for the Terminal Session filter

This problem occurs although the fields were previously saved.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because PolicyMaker Standard Edition or Profile Maker reads an .xml file incorrectly. The .xml file that is read incorrectly contains the following fields:

  • The User display name field for the User filter
  • The Parameter Value field for the Terminal Session filter


WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, download an updated filter. To download the updated filter, visit the following Microsoft Web site:

After you download the updated filter, make sure that the PolicyMaker Standard Edition Management Console or the Profile Maker Management Console is closed. Then, replace the Filter.ocx file that is located in the following folder with the downloaded Filter.ocx file:
