Error message on a computer that has PolicyMaker Client Side Extensions installed: "grace data associated with '{fully qualified domain/organizational unit name}' is missing"

Article ID: 931062

Article Last Modified on 11/30/2007

APPLIES TO

  • PolicyMaker Standard Edition 2.0
  • PolicyMaker Standard Edition 1.0

SYMPTOMS

On a computer that has the DesktopStandard PolicyMaker Client Side Extensions (CSE) installed, the following error message is logged in the Application log:

The user policies in '{GPO display name} {unique identifier}' cannot be applied because the grace data associated with '{fully qualified domain/organizational unit name}' is missing.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the maximum number of registered licenses has been exceeded.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, use one of the following methods:

  • Delete or disable the computer objects or the user objects in the licensed domain or in the organizational unit. You can use the Active Directory Users and Computers snap-in to delete or to disable the objects.

Note After you delete or disable the objects, the PolicyMaker License CSE does not recalculate the number of objects in the licensed domain or in the organizational unit until the next day.
  • Obtain a new license that contains additional objects. For more information about how to request an evaluation key for DesktopStandard PolicyMaker Standard Edition, visit the following DesktopStandard Web site:
