Error message when you try to open an InfoPath 2007 form template: "InfoPath cannot open the selected form because of an error in the form's code"

SYMPTOMS

When you try to open a Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007 form template, you may receive the following error message:

InfoPath cannot open the selected form because of an error in the form's code.
The format of the name_of_business_logic_DLL is invalid.

This issue occurs if the following conditions are true:

You create an InfoPath 2007 form template by using the InfoPath 2003 Compatible Code option.
You try to open the form template on a computer that does not have the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 installed.

To resolve this issue, install the .NET Framework 2.0 on the computer.
