SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. You try to use the #import directive on type libraries. The type libraries have structures and target 64-bit operating systems. In this scenario, you notice that the alignment of the structures on the generated Type Library Header (TLH) files is incorrect in Microsoft Visual C++ 2005. Additionally, this problem may cause the application to stop unexpectedly when the associated Microsoft Component Object Model (COM) methods call the members of these structures as parameters.
