SYMPTOMS
When you stream an application or you start the Microsoft SoftGrid Client, you may receive the following error message:
CAUSE
This problem occurs because one of the following conditions is true:
- The SoftGrid Client service is not started.
- The Shortcut.dat file is corrupted.
RESOLUTION
Cause 1: The SoftGrid Client service is not started

WORKAROUND
Cause 2: The Shortcut.dat file is corrupted
To work around this problem, manually remove the Shortcut.dat file. This problem has been fixed in version 3.1.2.14 and in later versions of the SoftGrid Client.
