MORE INFORMATION

Warning Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another method. These problems might require that you reinstall the operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that these problems can be solved. Modify the registry at your own risk.

This fix lets you select up to 10,000 items at the same time. However, the fetch process that is used by Microsoft Dynamics CRM has a default limit of 5,000 records at the same time. To change this behavior, add the following registry entries on the Microsoft Dynamics CRM server:

  • MaxRowsPerPage
  • OLEDBTIMEOUT

Set the MaxRowsPerPage value to 10000. Set the OLEDBTIMEOUT subkey value for seconds to a high value. Then, add the MaxRowsPerPage DWORD value to the registry. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
  2. Locate and then select the following registry subkey:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MSCRM

  3. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
  4. Type MaxRowsPerPage, and then press ENTER.
  5. Right-click MaxRowsPerPage, and then click Modify.
  6. In the Value data box, type a number that is less than or equal to 10,000. Then click OK.
  7. On the File menu, click Exit.

Create or change the OleDbTimeout value. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. In Registry Editor, locate and then click the following registry subkey:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSCRM

  2. Double-click the OleDbTimeout value.

Note If the OleDbTimeout value does not exist, create an OleDbTimeout value. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Right-click MSCRM, point to New, and then click DWORD value.
    2. Type OleDbTimeout.
  3. In the Edit DWORD Value dialog box, click Decimal, type a higher value than the current value in the Value data field, and then click OK.

Note A value of 600 represents 600 seconds. By default, this value is 30 seconds.
