Error message when you try to connect to the SoftGrid Management Web Service server by using the SoftGrid Management Console: "Error code: 0000C807"

SYMPTOMS

When you try to connect to the SoftGrid Management Web Service server by using the SoftGrid Management Console, you receive the following error message:

Unable to contact the SoftGrid System.
The host name specified cannot be reached.
Error code: 0000C807

CAUSE

This problem may occur because the Web Service host is inaccessible. You can specify the host name in one of the following dialog boxes in the SoftGrid Management Console:

• Connect to SoftGrid System
• Configure Connection

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, make sure that the Web Service host name is valid. Also, make sure that you can reach the Web Service host by using the SoftGrid Management Console system.
