SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Windows XP, the data rate of an .avi file may appear incorrectly in the file's Properties dialog box. Or, the data rate may not appear.
Note To view the data rate of an .avi file, right-click the file, click Properties, and then click the Summary tab.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because Windows Explorer uses an incorrect method to calculate the data rate of the file.
RESOLUTION
