Error message when you enter your ZIP code: "Invalid Zip Code"

SYMPTOMS

When you try to enter one of the following sequences of numbers as your billing ZIP code, you cannot complete the transaction:

• 20008
• 20018
• 20036
• 20071

Additionally, you receive the following error message:

Invalid Zip Code

CAUSE

Currently, the exact cause of this behavior is unknown. We are investigating the issue.

THINGS TO TRY

1. When you try to set up a Zune Pass Subscription or to purchase Microsoft Points, use a credit card together with a billing address that is not associated with one of the ZIP codes that are listed in the "Symptoms" section.
2. Purchase a prepaid Zune Pass card or a Microsoft Points card from a participating retailer, and then use the prepaid card to set up a new account.
