SYMPTOMS
Consider the following scenario in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0. You create a Fax activity. Then, you complete the Sender field and the Recipient field in the Fax dialog box. When you click Incoming or Outgoing to exchange the values in these fields, the values in the fields are not exchanged.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, customize the OnChange event on the Fax form. To do this, follow these steps:
- Log on to the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 Web client.
- Click Settings, click Customization, and then click Customize Entities.
- Double-click the Fax entity.
- Click Forms and Views.
- Double-click Form.
- Double-click the Direction field.
- On the Events tab, click OnChange, and then click Edit.
On the Details tab, click to select the Event is enabled check box, and then type the following code in the code box.

- In the Event OnChange Properties dialog box, click OK.
- In the Form Properties dialog box, click OK.
- In the Form: Fax dialog box, click Save and Close.
- In the Entity: Fax dialog box, click Publish on the Actions menu.
- Click Save and Close.
MORE INFORMATION
This problem does not occur when you process a Phone Call activity and a Letter activity.
