SYMPTOMS
Consider the following scenario. You have a Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based computer that has Windows Deployment Services (WDS) installed. Then, you configure a bind policy by using the following command:
WDSUTIL /set-server /BindPolicy /Add /address:IPaddress
/addressType:IP
However, you receive an error message that resembles the following:
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, configure the bind policy by using the MAC address instead of the IP address of the server. For example, use the following command:
WDSUTIL /set-server /BindPolicy /Add /address:MACaddress
/addressType:MAC
