The Import Complete summary of the master records indicates that no records were imported after you finish the QuickBooks migration process in Accounting Professional, in Accounting Express, or in Small Business Accounting 2006

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Office Accounting Professional, in Microsoft Office Accounting Express, or in Microsoft Small Business Accounting 2006, after you finish the Intuit QuickBooks migration process, you notice that the Import Complete summary of the master records indicates that no records were imported. For example, the summary contains the following text:

Importing Chart of Accounts:
Imported: 0 Not Imported: 0


Additionally, if you review the master record log file, you notice that records were not imported into the following entries:

  • Employees
  • Vendors
  • Tax Vendor
  • Customer
  • Job
  • Items


CAUSE

This problem occurs if QuickBooks does not have the following certificates:

  • QuickBooks application certificate for small business accounting
  • QuickBooks application certificate for Small Business Accounting


RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, add the two certificates to QuickBooks. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. In QuickBooks, click Edit, click Preferences, and then click Integrated Applications.
  2. Click the Company Preferences tab, and then remove any applications that reference Small Business Accounting.
  3. In the "Convert from QuickBooks" wizard, click Master records only, and then click Next.
  4. In the "Access and migrate your data" window, click Allow Access.
  5. Click Yes, always; allow access even if QuickBooks is not running when you are prompted by the QuickBooks application certificate for small business accounting, and then click Continue.
  6. In the Access Confirmation window, click Done.
  7. In the "Convert from QuickBooks" wizard, click Back.
  8. Click All Data, and then click Next.
  9. In the "Access and migrate your data" window, click Allow Access.
  10. Click Yes, always; allow access even if QuickBooks is not running when you are prompted by the QuickBooks application certificate for Small Business Accounting, and then click Continue.
  11. In the "Confirm to Proceed" window, click Yes.
  12. In the "Access Confirmation" window, click Done.
  13. In the "Access and migrate your data" window, click I have completed the above steps, and then click Next to continue the QuickBooks migration process.
