This article describes how to troubleshoot issues that you may experience when you try to purchase or rent content from the Video Marketplace.

When you try to purchase or rent content from the Video Marketplace, you may experience one of the following issues:

  • The downloads will not finish
  • You experience slow download speeds
  • You receive error messages
  • The wrong content is downloaded

If you try to purchase content from the Video Marketplace and you experience one of the first three issues, follow these steps:

  1. Try to download the content again.
  2. If this does not resolve the issue, delete the content from your download history on the storage device, and then download the content again.
  3. If you still experience this behavior and Microsoft Points were deducted from your balance, contact an Xbox Support agent to escalate the issue and to receive a refund for any Microsoft Points that were deducted from your account. If you try to rent content from the Video Marketplace and you experience one of these issues, follow these steps:

  1. Try to download the content again.
  2. If this does not resolve the issue, restart the console, and then return to the Active Downloads area.
  3. Try to download the content again to determine whether the content starts to download from the point where the previous download stopped.
  4. If this does not resolve the issue and Microsoft Points were deducted from your balance, contact an Xbox Support agent to escalate the issue and to receive a refund for any Microsoft Points that were deducted from your account.
