  • Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 Partner Edition
  • Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 Enterprise Edition
  • Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 Developer Edition

SYMPTOMS

When you configure the Health and Activity Tracking (HAT) tool to save all tracked messages for an orchestration in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004, you may receive an error message that resembles the following:

The message was not found in the Message Box or the Tracking databases. This may be caused by one of the following conditions: (1) message tracking is not enabled; (2) the message(s) is no longer referenced by a running or suspended service instance; (3) the Message Box tracking tables have been automatically purged; or (4) the SQL Server agent is not running on the Message Box servers.

CAUSE

The HAT tool passes the incorrect GUID for the orchestration to the bts_InsertStaticTrackingInfo stored procedure. Therefore, the tracking options that are selected in the HAT tool are applied to the wrong orchestration.
