928954 Description of the Duet for Microsoft Office and SAP hotfix package: December 3, 2006
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
MORE INFORMATION
By design, the Sync engine immediately retries an item when the Sync engine encounters a System.Net.Webexception to address any transient errors. In certain cases, as in the "Error 401: User is not authorized" error message, the error is not transient. Therefore, retrying the item does not help. Hotfix 928954 resolves this issue by increasing the retry interval to prevent the Sync engine from entering a short retry loop.
