BUG: Microsoft Transcriber may not correctly indicate which recognition language is selected when you use the Traditional Chinese version of Windows Mobile 5.0

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Traditional Chinese version of Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 together with a high-resolution display (640 x 480), Microsoft Transcriber may not correctly indicate which recognition language is selected for transcription.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, select Transcriber as the input method two times. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. From any application, tap the Up arrow on the command bar.
  2. Select 全熒幕手寫 (Transcriber) as the input method.
  3. Select (English) as the recognition language.


Notice that (English) is not selected. However, you can still write English characters, and they are transcribed correctly.

  1. Select 全熒幕手寫 (Transcriber) as the input method again.


Notice that (English) is selected.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
