INTRODUCTION

This article describes how to create and configure a form in Microsoft Expression Web to send form results to multiple e-mail addresses.

Before you configure a form to send results to multiple e-mail addresses, create the following HTML pages:

  • Page1
  • Page2
  • Confirm

How to create Page1 and Page2

To create Page1, follow these steps:

  1. Start Expression Web.
  2. On the File menu, point to New, and then click Page.
  3. In the New task pane, click HTML, and then click OK.
  4. On the File menu, click Save.
  5. In the Save As dialog box, specify a location in which you want to save the page.
  6. In the File name box, type Page1, and then click Save.

To create Page2, follow these steps:

  1. On the File menu, click Save As.
  2. In the Save As dialog box, specify a location in which you want to save the page, type Page2 in the File name box, and then click Save.

How to create a confirmation page

To create a confirmation page, follow these steps:

  1. On the File menu, point to New, and then click Page.
  2. In the New task pane, click HTML, and then click OK.
  3. On the File menu, click Save.
  4. In the Save As dialog box, specify a location in which you want to save the page, type Confirm in the File name box, and then click Save.

How to create and configure the form on Page1

To create and configure the form on Page1, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Page1.htm file that you created in the "How to create Page1 and Page2" section.
  2. In the Toolbox section, drag a Form control to Page1.
  3. In the Toolbox section, drag an Input (Submit) button to Page1.
  4. On the form, right-click the Submit button, and then click Form Properties.
  5. In the Form Properties dialog box, click Send to.
  6. In the File name box, type the path and the name of the file to which you want to send the results.
  7. In the E-mail address box, type the e-mail address of the first recipient.
  8. Click Options.
  9. In the Saving Results dialog box, do the following:
    1. Click the E-mail Results tab.
    2. In the E-mail format box, click the e-mail format that you want.
    3. Under E-mail message header, in the Subject line box, type the subject line that you want.
    4. In the Reply-to-line box, type the e-mail address of the recipient you want to reply to.
    5. Click the Confirmation Page tab.
    6. In the URL of confirmation page (optional) box, click Browse.
    7. In the Current Web Site dialog box, locate and then click the Page2.htm file that you created in the "How to create Page1 and Page2" section, and then click OK.
  10. Click OK.
  11. On the File menu, click Save.

How to create and configure the form on Page2

To create and configure the form on Page2, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Page2.htm file that you created in the "How to create Page1 and Page2" section.
  2. In the Toolbox section, drag a Form control to Page2.
  3. In the Toolbox section, drag an Input (Submit) button to Page2.
  4. Right-click the Submit button on the form, and then click Form Properties.
  5. In the Form Properties dialog box, click Send to.
  6. In the File name box, type the path and the name of the file to which you want to send the results.
  7. In the E-mail address box, type the e-mail address of the first recipient.
  8. Click Options.
  9. In the Saving Results dialog box, do the following:
    1. Click the E-mail Results tab.
    2. In the E-mail format box, click the e-mail format that you want.
    3. Under E-mail message header, type the subject line in the Subject line box.
    4. In the Reply-to-line box, type the reply-to e-mail address.
    5. Click the Confirmation Page tab.
    6. In the URL of confirmation page (optional) box, click Browse.
    7. In the Current Web Site dialog box, locate, and then click the Confirm.htm file that you created in the "How to create a confirmation page" section, and then click OK.
  10. Click OK.
  11. On the File menu, click Save.
