SYMPTOMS
After you set the Hold switch on your Zune device to the locked position, the device starts anyway when you press the Play/Pause button [GRAPHIC: Play/Pause button].
Note After you set the Hold switch to the locked position, the device should not start when you press the Play/Pause button [GRAPHIC: Play/Pause button].
CAUSE
This is a known issue with the Zune device. When the device is critically low on battery power, the device does not recognize the status of the Hold switch.
THINGS TO TRY
- Put the Zune device in a location where the Play/Pause button [GRAPHIC: Play/Pause button] is unlikely to be pressed, and then charge the device.
