Error message when you try to complete a credit card transaction: “This action cannot be performed at this time. Please try again later”

SYMPTOMS

When you try to complete a credit card transaction, you receive the following error message:

This action cannot be performed at this time. Please try again later

CAUSE

This error occurs if the billing address that you use in the Zune Marketplace and the billing address for the credit card differ.

THINGS TO TRY

  1. To make a purchase in the Zune Marketplace by using a credit card, use a credit card for which you use the same address that you want to use in the Zune Marketplace.


MORE INFORMATION

To update the billing and account information, follow these steps:

  1. Start the Zune software.
  2. Click Sign In, type your Windows Live ID and password, and then click Sign In.
  3. Click the Sign in icon, and then click Account Management.
  4. On the Account Summary page, follow the instructions to change your billing or account information.
