SYMPTOMS

When you install Microsoft Office OneNote Mobile 2007 on a Samsung i730 Pocket PC device, you receive the following error message:

The file "\Windows\AppMgr\Install\Microsoft office\OneNote Mobile.cab" is not a valid Windows CE setup file.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because the Samsung i730 is a Pocket PC device that runs Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition. The Samsung i730 device cannot be supported.

We support Pocket PC devices that run Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 software for Pocket PCs and later versions of Windows Mobile. We support Smartphones that run Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003 and later versions of Windows Mobile.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
