SYMPTOMS

You unhide rows in a worksheet that contains a chart in Microsoft Office Excel 2007. When you view the chart, the text that is contained in the chart may be missing or unreadable. This text may include the data labels, the axis labels, or the legend.

CAUSE

This issue may occur because the font size of the text is too small.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, change the font size of the text to a larger size.

To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Select the chart.
  2. Click the Home tab.
  3. In the Font Size box in the Font group, select a larger font size. For example, select a font size of 8.

Note If you must have a different font size for the chart than the font sizes that are listed in the Font Size box, type the font size in the Font Size box and then press ENTER.
