SYMPTOMS

When you try to import a CSV file that contains surrogate pairs into a Forms tool in Microsoft Office Groove 2007, you experience one of the following symptoms:

  • If you select ASCII in the Character set used to create the CSV file you're importing list, the data is not imported correctly.
  • If you select UTF-16 or UTF-8 in the Character set used to create the CSV file you're importing list, you receive the following error message:

    An error occurred when importing data.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
