SYMPTOMS
Consider the following scenario. You configure the Smartcard Removal Behavior: Force Logoff Group Policy setting together with the Remove Lock Computer Group Policy setting. When you do this, you are not logged off after you remove the smart card. This behavior occurs on a computer that is running Microsoft Windows XP Professional.
In this scenario, when you remove the smart card, you expect the following results:
- The first user is logged off.
- The next user can log on.
