Important This article contains information about editing the metabase. Before you edit the metabase, verify that you have a backup copy that you can restore if a problem occurs. SYMPTOMS
When you perform a query from ProClarity Analytics Server Standard Client version 5.3, version 6.0, version 6.1, or version 6.2, you receive the following error message:
CAUSE
This problem occurs because of an incorrect setting in Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0. The default maximum data request size is 204,800 bytes. This problem occurs if a query exceeds this maximum data request size.
RESOLUTION
Warning If you edit the metabase incorrectly, you can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall any product that uses the metabase. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems that result if you incorrectly edit the metabase can be solved. Edit the metabase at your own risk.
Note Always back up the metabase before you edit it.
To resolve this problem, set the value of the AspMaxRequestEntitiyAllowed parameter in the IIS metabase to a larger value.
Note If you edit the metabase incorrectly, the server that is running IIS may become unstable. Or the server may stop functioning. Additionally, slow performance may occur if you increase the data request size.
