Article ID: 927958

Article Last Modified on 11/27/2006

APPLIES TO

  • ProClarity Analytic Server
  • Microsoft Data Access Components 2.8 Service Pack 1
  • ProClarity Web Professional 6.2
  • ProClarity Web Professional 6.1

SYMPTOMS

When you are using ProClarity Web Professional, you receive multiple error messages. Additionally, the Web browser may stop responding. This problem occurs if ProClarity Web Professional is not set to use the same language as the client operating system.

RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, install the appropriate version of Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) on the client computer before the client computer downloads ProClarity Web Professional.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

MORE INFORMATION

Because of size constraints, ProClarity Web Professional installs only one language version of MDAC on a client computer. For example, an English version of ProClarity Web Professional installs only the English version of MDAC. If an English version of ProClarity Web Professional is downloaded to computer that is running a French operating system, and if MDAC is not up to date, the English version of MDAC is installed to the client computer.

This problem does not occur with ProClarity Desktop Professional. ProClarity Desktop Professional is packaged with all available localized versions of MDAC. To ease deployment, the installation of ProClarity Desktop Professional has no size constraints.
