INTRODUCTION

Issues that the hotfix package fixes

This hotfix package fixes the following issues that were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

  • When you import a .vcf file into the Outlook 2003 Contacts folder, the contents of the Note field in the .vcf file are not imported.

This issue occurs if you run Outlook 2003 in Cached Exchange Mode.
  • When you try to book a resource for a meeting request in Outlook 2003, you receive the following error message:

Resource_name is already booked for the specified time. You must use another time or find another resource.

You click OK to close the error message. After you close and do not save the meeting request, the meeting request is still saved in the calendar.

This issue occurs if you run Outlook 2003 in Cached Exchange Mode.

  • When you add a signature that contains Unicode characters to an e-mail message, the Unicode characters do not appear as expected. This issue occurs if you use Outlook 2003 as the e-mail editor and if the e-mail message is formatted in HTML.

Note If the message is formatted in Rich Text Format (RTF), the signature appears as expected.
