PRA: Table Export to Excel Does Not Set Database Name

SYMPTOMS

When you export a table from Microsoft Access to Microsoft Excel, the defined name "Database" is not set in Microsoft Excel.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Access version 1.0. This problem no longer occurs in Microsoft Access version 1.1.

MORE INFORMATION

To use the exported data as a Microsoft Excel database, the database range must be set manually in Microsoft Excel. This can be done by highlighting the entire set of data, including the first row of labels, and choosing Set Database from the Data menu.
