SYMPTOMS

When you insert an HD DVD disc into the Xbox 360 HD DVD Player, you experience the following symptoms:

  • "Reading" appears for several minutes on the screen.
  • The HD DVD player cannot read the disc.

Note You do not receive an error message.


CAUSE

In rare cases, certain HD DVDs may not operate correctly. Typically, this occurs because of variations in the manufacturing process or variations in the software encoding of the HD DVD or DVD video software.

THINGS TO TRY

  1. Make sure that the Xbox HD DVD Player is correctly connected to the Xbox 360 console.
  2. Try a different HD DVD disc.
