When you connect your Zune device to a computer that is running Zune Software, the Zune display backlight is automatically set to its lowest possible setting instead of remaining at the full setting.<br />

<br />
The backlight is set to dim when the Zune device is connected to a computer to help make sure that the Zune device is always receiving sufficient power for synchronizing. This setting is used because you cannot interact with the Zune device when it is connected.<br />
