This article describes the Microsoft Office 2003 issues that are fixed in the Office 2003 post-Service Pack 2 hotfix package that is dated October 19, 2006.

INTRODUCTION

Issues that the hotfix package fixes

This hotfix fixes the following issues that were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

  • When you try to restrict access to an Office 2003 file, you cannot select users from other Active Directory domains.

    This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:
    • Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 is not installed on the computer.
    • You use the object picker that is provided by Active Directory to select users.
  • When you try to save an Office 2003 file that has a signed Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) project, you may receive the following warning message:

    You have modified a signed project. You do not have the correct key to sign this project. The signature will be discarded.

    If you click OK, the file is saved. When you reopen the file, the signature for the VBA project is removed.
