MORE INFORMATION
To select automatic resize options
To select automatic resize options, follow these steps:
- Click the Video media selector [GRAPHIC: Video media selector], and then play a video file.
- Right-click the video image, and then click Video Size. Two independent options are available for automatically resizing the Zune Software window for playing videos:
- Fit Video to window on resize
- Fit window to video on start
The following table provides information about how the two automatic resize options work together.
Fit Video to window on resize Fit window to video on start How these options work together Enabled Enabled This configuration is recommended. The Zune Software window automatically resizes itself to show the video at the best size or at the video size percentage that you set. In addition, Zune Software automatically resizes the video when you manually resize the Zune Software window. Enabled Disabled The video resizes itself to fit the dimensions of the Zune Software window. Any video size percentage that you have set is ignored. Disabled Enabled The Zune Software window resizes itself when you start to play a video. If the Zune Software window is smaller than the video, Zune Software crops the video. Otherwise, resizing the Zune Software window does not affect the video dimensions. If you have already set a video size percentage, the Zune Software window resizes itself as necessary to fit that percentage. Disabled Disabled If the dimensions of the Zune Software window are large enough to fit the video at the specified video size percentage, the video resizes itself to fit that percentage. If the Zune Software window is smaller than the video, Zune Software crops the video. Otherwise, resizing the Zune Software window does not affect the video dimensions. Note You can also change the setting for how large to make the video. To do this, right-click the video image, point to Video Size, and then select one of the following options:
- 50%
- 100%
- 200%
