This article describes how to manage your Zune account.

You manage your account through Account Management. You can access Account Management on the Zune.net Web site or through Zune Software.

To access Account Management through Zune Software, select Account Management on the Zune Account Options menu. In Account Management, you can select from the following options:

• Account Summary
  

This option presents a brief summary that includes your Zune tag, your current subscription information, and your Microsoft Points balance.

• Zune Account
  

Manage credit card and personal information, view purchase history and points balance, edit Family Settings, and change account passwords. You can select from the following specific options:

• • Account Management
    

Select this option to go to the Microsoft Billing Web site. On the Web site, you can manage credit card information, billing information, personal information, and view your purchase history and your points balance.

• • Family Settings
    

This option lets parents, guardians, or Zune owners set permissions to manage Zune access for all members of the household so that they can enjoy Zune content in a user-appropriate environment. This includes deciding what music and movies to allow and controlling the ability to establish Zune subscriptions.

• • Change Password
    

Select this option to go to the Windows Live ID account management Web site to change your Windows Live ID password. You can also manage your Windows Live ID account information from this Web site.

• Subscription and MS Points
  

Update, change, or cancel a subscription, purchase Microsoft Points to use at the Zune Marketplace, and redeem prepaid cards. You can select from the following options:

• • Zune Pass
    

Select this option to obtain a new Zune Pass or to change or cancel an existing Zune Pass.

• • Purchase Points
    

Select this option to purchase Microsoft Points for your account.

• • Redeem Prepaid Cards
    

If you have a prepaid card or promotional code, select this option to redeem it.

• Music and Purchases
  

Manage the computers that play your Zune content, restore your Zune library if you lost your library, or check for incomplete transactions. You can select from the following options:

• • Rights Management
    

Your Zune Pass lets you download music to three computers. Select this option to manage this list of computers.

• • Restore Library
    

If you lost the songs that you have purchased or downloaded, select this option to restore the songs to your library.

• • Incomplete Purchases
    

Select this option to go to the Windows Live ID account management Web site to change your Windows Live ID password. You can also manage your Windows Live ID account information from this Web site.
