Bug #: 1053 (SQL Hotfix)

Notice

Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2005 fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2005 fix release.

SUMMARY

This article describes the following about this hotfix release:

  • The issues that are fixed by this hotfix package
  • The prerequisites for applying this hotfix package
  • Information about whether you must restart the computer after you apply this hotfix package
  • Information about whether you must make any registry changes after you apply this hotfix package
  • The files that are contained in this hotfix package

SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:

  • You create a cube in Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services.
  • The cube contains a parent-child dimension.
  • You use a non-additive measure.

In this scenario, you may receive incorrect results when you try to aggregate the measure on the parent-child dimension. The non-additive measure incorrectly aggregates values for all levels in the parent-child dimension. This behavior is not the expected behavior.
