A workflow process that uses dynamic data fields for the date cannot retrieve the date in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0

Article ID: 926581

Article Last Modified on 7/17/2007

APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0

SYMPTOMS

After you change the regional settings to use a short date format that differs from the U.S. short date format, a workflow process that uses dynamic data fields for the date cannot retrieve the date in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0. When this problem occurs, the dynamic data fields for the date do not show the date. Additionally, if you specify default values for the dynamic data fields for the date, the workflow process uses these default values.

This problem occurs only when the short date format does not match the U.S. short date format. For example, if the date is "01/04/2007," the problem does not occur. However, if the date is "20/04/2007," the problem occurs.
