Article Last Modified on 11/3/2006

APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft Office Forms Server 2007
  • Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007

SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. In a browser, you submit a Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007 form. You submit the form by using the secondary submit data connection. The secondary submit data connection fails. In this scenario, the customized error message that you created for the main submit data connection is displayed.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because InfoPath 2007 treats all submit adapters as the main submit adapter. Therefore, InfoPath 2007 displays the customized error message that you created for the main submit data connection.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, follow these steps:

  1. On the Tools menu, click Submit Options, and then click Advanced.
  2. Click to clear the Show success and failure message check box, and then click OK.
