SYMPTOMS
In one of the 2007 Microsoft Office programs that are listed in the "Applies to" section, you use the keyboard to move through the Ribbon. When you use a keyboard shortcut that uses the ALT key, such as ALT+DOWN ARROW, to open a submenu for a button, the menu of the Microsoft Office Button may open. Or, another button on the Ribbon may become active.
CAUSE
This issue may occur if the computer is running a program that intercepts keystrokes and assigns new functionality to the ALT keys. For example, this issue may occur if the computer is running a screen reader. This program may be incompatible with the 2007 Office programs.

To resolve this issue, contact the vendor of the program.
