SYMPTOMS

When you make a Business API (BAPI) call to a Unicode-based SAP server, Microsoft BizTalk Adapter 2.0 for mySAP Business Suite may not pass numeric parameters or DateTime parameters as expected. You may receive an error message that resembles the following:

No selection criteria specified

For example, this problem may occur when you use Microsoft BizTalk Adapter 2.0 for mySAP Business Suite to call the BAPI_EMPLOYEE_GETDATA function.

This problem does not occur if the SAP server is not Unicode based.

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that this article describes. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
