SYMPTOMS

When you try to use the move command to move a file to or from a folder in a Microsoft Windows Imaging Format (WIM) image file, you may receive the following error message:

The request is not supported

CAUSE

This issue occurs because the move command is not designed to move files to or from a WIM image file. The move command cannot move files between different namespaces.
