SYMPTOMS
Consider the following scenario:
- You create a chart in Microsoft Office Excel 2007.
- You copy the chart and then paste it in a Microsoft Office Word 2007 document.
- You select the No Spacing style in Word 2007.
In this scenario, the bottom border of the chart is not displayed in Word 2007.
Note The bottom border of the chart is displayed when you print the Word 2007 document.
CAUSE
This issue occurs because the No Spacing style does not provide sufficient space to display the bottom border of the chart.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, use one of the following methods.
Method 1: Add line space to the document baseline
- Select the chart that does not display the bottom border in Word 2007.
- Click the Home tab, and then click the arrow in the lower-right corner of the Paragraph area to display the Paragraph dialog box.
- Click the Indents and Spacing tab.
- In the Spacing area, click Multiple in the list under Line spacing, type 1.1 in the At box, and then click OK.
- Save the document.
Method 2: Add a space before and after the chart
- Select the chart that does not display the bottom border in Word 2007.
- Click the Home tab, and then click the arrow in the lower-right corner of the Paragraph area to display the Paragraph dialog box.
- Click the Indents and Spacing tab.
- In the Spacing area, type 1 in the Before and After boxes, and then click OK.
- Save the document.
