SYMPTOMS
When you try to open a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation file that contains many ink objects, PowerPoint stops responding (hangs) or randomly generates an access violation exception.
This problem occurs when PowerPoint is running on a Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition-based computer that has a dual-core processor.
CAUSE
This problem occurs if the Inkobj.dll file is corrupted.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, use one of the following methods:
- Reduce the number of ink objects in the PowerPoint presentation.
- Divide a presentation that contains many ink objects into multiple files.
