APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft Office Groove 2007

SYMPTOMS

After you activate the trial version of Microsoft Office Groove 2007, you may remain in reduced functionality mode.

For example, when you try to create a new workspace, you receive a Reduced Functionality Mode dialog box that explains the features that are unavailable. Then, you are asked to re-enter the product key. After you re-enter the product key, you are still in reduced functionality mode.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because Groove 2007 was not restarted after you activated the trial version. After you activate the trial version, Groove 2007 must be restarted to enable all the functionality.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, you must restart Groove 2007. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Right-click the Groove icon in the notification area, and then click Exit.
  2. Wait for Groove to shut down.
  3. Start Groove 2007.
