SYMPTOMS
Consider the following scenario. A multiple-selection list box contains custom values. You use conditions to disable the multiple-selection list box. In this scenario, you still can modify the custom values in Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007.

Steps to reproduce the problem
- Start InfoPath 2007.
- Click Design a Form Template, select Blank, make sure that the Enable browser-compatible feature only check box is not selected, and then click OK.
- Add a text box and a multiple-selection list box control to the form.
- Double-click the multiple-selection list box, click to select the Allow users to enter custom values check box, click Add, and then type a value.
- Click the Display tab, click Conditional Formatting, click Add, and then follow these steps to add a condition to disable the control:
- In the first drop-down box, click Select a field or group.
- In the Select a Field or Group dialog box, click to select field1, and then click OK.
- In the second drop-down box, click is equal to.
- In the third drop-down box, click Type text, and then type test.
- Click to select the Disable this control check box.
- Click OK three times.
- Click Preview, and then type some text in the multiple-selection list box.
- In the text box, type test. This action makes the condition true.
- Double-click the text that you typed in the list box, right-click the selected text, and then click Cut.
You can enter a new value in the multiple-selection list box.
