Error message when you perform a custom installation of the Japanese version of Windows Defender: "The highlighted volumes do not have enough disk space available for the currently selected features"

SYMPTOMS

You perform a custom installation of the Japanese version of Microsoft Windows Defender. When you check the disk space requirements during this installation, you receive an error message that resembles the following:

The highlighted volumes do not have enough disk space available for the currently selected features. You can remove files from the highlighted volumes, choose to install less features onto local drives, or select different destination drives.

You receive this message even though no drive is selected, and there is sufficient disk space.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if you do not specify an installation location when you install Windows Defender.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, specify an installation location when you install Windows Defender.
