Some fields are not automatically populated in a follow-up activity form after you create the follow-up activity in Microsoft Dynamics CRM

SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario in Microsoft Dynamics CRM. You create a follow-up activity for an entity. Then, you click Save or Save and Open. In this scenario, some fields are not automatically populated in the follow-up activity form.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0

If you create a follow-up activity for a Fax entity, the following fields are not populated automatically:

  • Sender
  • Recipient
  • Fax Number

If you create a follow-up activity for a Phone Call entity, the following fields are not populated automatically:

  • Sender
  • Recipient
  • Phone Number
  • Direction Code

If you create a follow-up activity for an E-mail entity, the following fields are not populated automatically:

  • From
  • To
  • Cc
  • Bcc

If you create a follow-up activity for a Letter entity, the following fields are not populated automatically:

  • Sender
  • Recipient
  • Address
  • Direction Code

If you create a follow-up activity for an Appointment entity, the following fields are not populated automatically:

  • Required
  • Optional
  • Organizer

If you create a follow-up activity for a Service Activity entity, the following field is not populated automatically:

  • Resources

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0

If you create a follow-up activity for an E-mail entity, the following fields are not populated automatically:

  • Cc
  • Bcc

If you create a follow-up activity for a Letter entity, the following field is not populated automatically:

  • Address

If you create a follow-up activity for an Appointment entity, the following field is not populated automatically:

  • Optional


STATUS

This is a known issue in Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
