  • Microsoft Windows Media Player 11

SYMPTOMS

You use the a version of the Sysprep tool (Sysprep.exe) that is earlier than Microsoft Windows XP build 2600 to deploy Windows Media Player 11. However, the Windows Media Player 11 client computer cannot acquire licenses for Digital Rights Management (DRM) content.

CAUSE

This issue may occur if a version of the OEM Pre-Installation Kit (OPK) that is earlier than the OPK for Windows Media Player 11 is used to package Windows Media Player 11. Innovations in DRM technology in Windows Media Player 11 include changes in the Cleandrm.lib file. Innovations also include changes to the Sysprep.exe and Riprep.exe tools.
